Puzzles For Preschoolers
Anyone Familiar with Wisconsin State Law Concerning Daycare and Naps?
My 4 year old son’s preschool teachers are telling me that the State of Wisconsin requires teachers to force preschoolers to take hourly naps. The kids can lay quietly, if they can’t fall asleep, for the first 30 minutes of the hour (doing nothing else while laying there). Once that first 30 minutes is finished, the child can do something quiet, such as read, color, or put a puzzle together until rest/nap time is over.
Are the teachers being truthful? Or is this their way to take a breather for themselves?
I’m not sure if there is truth to that or not-but my 4 year old at home doesn’t take naps!!!
